All orders over $45 receive free shipping. Expedited shipping rates are calculated at checkout. For more information, please see our Shipping Policy.
We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards or debit cards. You can also pay use Apple Pay or Amazon Pay. We’re always looking to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. If you use another preferred method of payment that we don’t currently offer, tell us about it — we want to know!
Sales tax charges are based on the state your order is being shipped to. All applicable state and local sales taxes will be calculated during the checkout process.
As soon as your package ships, you can track it at any time using the tracking number provided in your shipment notification email. Or, you can check its status when you log in to your Jovy account and select Order History from the My Account page. Still not sure? We’re here to help.
Sometimes packages are marked as delivered before they actually arrive. Your package will likely be delivered shortly after it has been marked as delivered. Be sure to check with your neighbors and the post office for more information. Please note that we're not responsible for lost or stolen packages, so please be sure to choose a secure delivery location. If you have any remaining questions, feel free to contact us.
We will do our very best to modify an existing order if you email us, but we cannot guarantee changes or cancellations — especially if an order has already shipped and is on its way to you.
Ingredients and Formula
Jovy is a hyper clean brand for kids that uses both synthetic and natural ingredients, all of which are tested and proven to be safe. Our formulas don’t contain toxins or any harmful ingredients. As we know, there are good and bad chemical ingredients, just like there are good and bad natural ones. We do try, however, to have mostly natural formulations. Our formulas will always have a higher percentage of proven-safe fruit, vegetable and plant derived ingredients. Our current formulations have 90-95% natural origin.
When we started our formulation journey, we analyzed several products in the market that were targeted to kids, some were made with natural ingredients, including no preservatives. Some of the lip formulas we tested were already rancid, even though they were new. Eyeshadow formulas without preservatives can easily grow bacteria after manipulation. Contaminated and unstable formulas can be equally dangerous to kids, and it was a risk not worth taking for us.
According to the Good Face Project, when there isn’t an effective preservative in products like makeup and skin care, microbes are likely to form, grow, and spread. We intentionally made the decision to go for the best formulation, application and shelf life for the safety of your kids.
Yes! Jovy is the only play makeup on the market that is fully vegan and independently verified as clean. We do not use carmine (color extracted from beetles) or beeswax in our makeup formulas.
Loose mineral powder would have been a much simpler formulation, but it is simply not safe for kids. When applied in its loose powder form, the dust can be inhaled and will settle in the lungs, leading to irritation, inflammation, and long-term problems. Instead, we have formulated our powders to be pressed. They have a soft texture with a buttery spread, and a light but visible color payoff. That means hours of safe play without irritation.
Absolutely! Jovy’s makeup is real makeup made just for kids. Nothing that is applied on your kids’ skin should be a toy, cheaply made, or treated lightly. Our product is made in Italy with the best quality ingredients under the strictest European Union regulations. The only difference is that our makeup is one of the cleanest out there. We even have the certifications to prove it!
As part of our full-label transparency promise to customers, we will never hide ingredients under the FDA protected term ‘fragrance’ or ‘parfum’. All of the toxic ingredients that you’re looking to avoid in an ingredient list, can be added back into the products under the guise of the word fragrance.
Jovy only uses naturally derived fruit scents and flavors, and the ingredient will always be disclosed for full transparency.
Our products are safe to use for 36 months before opening, and up to 12 months after opening.

Better not to share. There is increasing evidence of harmful ingredients often included in adult makeup, and children are more biologically susceptible to the effects of toxicants. These chemicals, whether intentionally added or present as contaminants, have been linked to cancer, neurodevelopmental harm, and other serious health effects in children.
Most makeup brands, including some clean brands, use synthetic dyes, coal tar dye or lakes. These are all artificial colors used to make products look pretty and can contain heavy metal contaminants.

The inspiration for this name and brand concept is my young daughter and the desire to bring something safe and fun for her to play with while creating memories together. She is sassy, curious, fearless, artistic. She doesn’t aim for perfect, she’s not afraid of trying new things and just going for them. She laughs a lot, and laughs out loud most times. When I see her, I want to protect that jovial, free and gracious nature while she discovers the world around her. I know that’s exactly how every parent feels about their kids. This is where the name Jovy comes, from jovial, jolly, happy.
Through Jovy, we want to keep that jovial energy protected and alive in all kids. Through our mission to elevate the clean standard for kids’ cosmetics, Jovy can aim to protect joyful kids, through healthy skin, for a healthy life.
As long as you as a parent are ok with it, playing with makeup is just another opportunity for pretend play. It indulges kids curiosity, while nurturing creativity and imagination. Allowing your kid to play with makeup is a good way of making her experience things that she usually sees you do. Play makeup is an opportunity to create new memories together, for her to see the positive relationship you have with makeup and emulate that in the future, while also allowing her to explore and discover things on her own.
If you choose to allow your child to play with makeup, it is important to choose a product made just for kids. It doesn't need to last all day or be waterproof. It should light and subtle colors with good for them ingredients and no nasty stuff. That is why we created Jovy.
